Asahi and Haruki's mother. After Asahi disappeared, she left her room exactly as it was, forbidding Haruki from entering. When he finally did enter, she mistook him for Asahi and had a breakdown when she realized who he actually was.

She is the ane-san of Kansai's Kadokanegumi, wife to kumicho Itsuro, and the mother of Tsubaki and Sumire. Beautiful and flirty, she is ultimately loyal to her husband and projects the image of an elegant and perfect gokudo wife (although she is secretly hopeless with directions). She is more in tune with her kids' feelings than Itsuro is, and sends them to study in Tokyo to keep them away from the gokudo life. When Tsubaki gets kidnapped, she sets off on her own to rescue him after seeing her husband's stubbornness.

Kimitaka and Namari's mother. She looks after the kids and her elderly father on her own, and takes great pride in how she cooks sunny-side up eggs. She worries about Kimitaka isolating himself and not having friends.

Yotaro's mother, or "Maman" as he calls her, worries deeply about her son who never wants to go outside and play. She decides to get him a panda to help cheer him up.
